Philip Porter
Author of ‘The Ultimate E’ and many other books about Jaguar and classic motoring, he has been extremely supportive of our recent E-type 50 project and been a good friend of the Sayer family over the years, keen to document Malcolm Sayer’s history and the crucial part he played in not only Jaguar’s history, but in the world of aerodynamics and automobiles. He runs the E-type Club and Porter Press International, dedicated to the history of Jaguar and racing legends.
Neville Swales
Neville is a long-standing Classic Jaguar enthusiast and racer and has been a wonderful support and resource for us. He unearthed the ONLY surviving complete engine built to an identical specification to the original quad-cam V12 prototype engine as first installed in the car in 1966. Neville now finds himself in the position where he can fulfil a long-held ambition of building and hopefully racing an absolutely authentic and accurate “toolroom-copy” of the Jaguar XJ13 prototype Le Mans racer – true to Malcolm Sayer’s original 1966 vision.
Mike Tomlin
Mike has been a friend of the family for many years, as chairman of the Challenger E-type owners club and advocate of Malcolm Sayer’s work. He arranged a wonderful tribute weekend to Malcolm a few years back, in Cromer and Great Yarmouth where Malcolm grew up. A plaque was placed on the house he grew up in and another in the school he attended, where his father also taught maths and art. Mike has been a great inspiration to us and is one of the nicest people you could hope to meet, ever supportive of the project.
